Weekend Warrior – full campervan electrical kit
Our full campervan electrical kits include everything you need to fully wire in a campervan electrical system. We include all cabling, fuses, cable lugs, etc., as well as a number of options to enhance the system.
This kit includes a 20A battery charger, supplied with a consumer unit and 3 core cable.
We supply the 160w solar panel with L mounting brackets. These are typically screwed into place, but can also be glued to both the panel and the roof of your vehicle if you don’t wish to drill through the roof of your vehicle.
A 75/15 Victron MPPT charge controller is also included. If you choose to include smart functionality, we will supply the SmartSolar version which can be configured and monitored via the Victron Connect app on your phone. Otherwise, we will include the BlueSolar version.
The 18A isolated battery to battery charger lets you recharge your leisure batteries as you drive.
For your 12V distribution and loads, we include a 12V fuse board.
Choose to include a 125Ah TN Power AGM battery, or opt for the ‘no battery’ option and pick an alternative from our range of leisure batteries.
Distribute power from your leisure batteries to the rest of your system using 2x busbars. We’ll also include an isolator switch so you can isolate power to the rest of the system.
This kit includes every single product you need to fully install your campervan electrical system. So as well as the major components, every cable, fuse, holder, switch and lug is included.
Wiring diagram & installation guidance
We supply all our kits with a subsystem wiring diagram and installation guidance. So, you can install your system easily and be confident it’s installed correctly. If you need any support during the install, contact us and we can provide additional support.
Weekend Warrior – use case
This kit is suitable for someone who will split their time between being off-grid and on campsites. It includes a shore hook up, so you can recharge your leisure battery from a campsite.
The 130Ah leisure battery bank and 160W solar array is suitable for someone with low power usage. For example, common appliances might include a 12V fridge, water pump, lights, phones and speakers. This kit doesn’t include an inverter, so you will only be able to power 230V appliances when you are connected to hookup. When you are off-grid, you will only able to use 12V appliances.
The Weekend Warrior is most suitable for someone using their van for weekends and short trips. We wouldn’t recommend this kit to anyone wishing to live in their van full time. The optional AGM battery bank is suitable for most people whose usage fits this description. Check out our guidebook page on campervan leisure batteries to read more about choosing one that’s right for you.
