Climbingvan & Nomadic Energy announce exciting rebrand as Nohma

Climbingvan & Nomadic Energy rebrand as Nohma

We are extremely excited to announce that our rebrand and new website, nohma.com, is now live 🎉

Over the past few months, we have been beavering away in the background to launch our new site, name and logo. Over the past couple of years our business has slowly evolved. From April 2021 when we published our bestselling book, The Van Conversion Bible, the business has slowly grown to what it is today – a team of 12 working nomadically across the world designing campervan electrical systems.

The story behind the name

Our previous website Climbingvan was borne out of the organic growth of our business. Originally just an Instagram handle that did exactly what it said on the tin, we slowly outgrew it as a name for a business.

When we first launched our electrical design service, we decided to brand it Nomadic Energy, better encompassing what we did. Firstly, it explains the electrical side of the business; helping those living nomadically to access power wherever they travel. Secondly, it captures the wider mission of the business – giving people the ‘energy’ to live more nomadically, through our resources and information.

But it’s always felt a bit messy, using multiple names and logos. So, we decided to come up with a brand new name that was simple yet catchy, to sum up our company’s focus. Our new branding better reflects what we do – designing bespoke off-grid electrical systems and selling trusted electrical products for those looking to convert their vehicle into a campervan or business on wheels.

So, why Nohma? We took the start of nomadic – ‘noma’, and combined it with ‘ohm’, a unit of electrical resistance. An ohm quantifies how strongly an electrical component or circuit resists the flow of electric current. So, this left us with…

Our new branding

Instead of two unrelated logos and branding, we have settled on one logo which clearly communicates our website, and also illustrates our mission and focus.

The visual part of our logo can be seen as the sun, the moon and the earth, orbiting and travelling around one another. But it can also be seen as a lithium ion, touching on the electrical cornerstone of the business.

As Climbingvan, our aim was to be the ultimate resource on van conversions. As Nohma, this is still one of our aims, but we feel that our new name and branding now covers even more of what we stand for. This includes the expansion of the electrical side of the business, as well as our aim to empower people to live more nomadically.

Hello my name is Rik. Im a Cajun craftsman spent most as far as working fa da man goes in automotive collision industry. Im 65 two days now with not a thought of a day not using my hands still.
Im a well rounded and well versed in both automotive and residential electrical. Though as my Cajun Dad would say you cant beat a man at his trade so semi retired im thinking in doing just dat. I could waste a tin of time learning ins & outs on solar do dat burn up some components through trail snd error. So you 2 look to be a happy couple the passion jumps off photo and as we’d say down in Louisiana ” “yall matches” .

My project im currently in search for a box truck to convert in to my own slice on living FREE. . Watch one particular video of a guy my age after a divorce was doing a career change in which he be moving to a major city and what he said on being able to park almost anywhere without drawing attion like say a conventional R/V.

Well im sold on it and with a few fabrication skills i do plan to use on doing well? FABRICATION. just make more sense to me to have someone who does van solar only with a passion equal to mine doing high end one off resto mods . Hot rods . I got dat installed alredy if it all showed up plug and play
So you guys talk to me at
