But before getting in touch with our technical support engineer, please check your issue isn’t covered under the top 5 most common system problems.

1. Issues with DC-DC chargers and Euro 6 engines

Euro 6 engines have a smart alternator that can confuse a DC-DC chargers, as the sensor is very sensitive. If you are having problems running your DC-DC charger and you have a vehicle with a Euro 6 engine, we would recommend running a D+ signal to the B2B. You can find more information about how to do this in our article: How to find your vehicle’s D+ ignition cable.

If you don’t have a D+ connection, here’s a video which explains how to force the DC-DC charger to start charging your leisure battery:

2. I can’t find my Victron password

For every Victron product with Bluetooth, you will have a ‘Bluetooth Pin’. This is normally a 6 digit pin code that will allow you to access the device via the VictronConnect App. Each product is provided with either a blue sleeve with 2 identical stickers with a QR code on or on the side of the appliance itself. Please keep this safe as you will need it at the end of your build. When everything is powered up and ‘Live’, go into the VictronConnect app and sign into the product using the Bluetooth Pin provided.

If you have lost your blue sleeve and cannot find the QR code, go to the VictronConnect app. Click on the device, then the three dots top right, and finally ‘forgotten password’. On back or side of the device you will find your PUQ code which you can enter to receive a new password.

5. Where and how to create your chassis earth

All components in your system need to be earthed to the chassis. This is done via either the negative bus bar or a grounding bus bar. So, you can run a single cable from your negative or grounding bus bar to the chassis.

Make the physical connection to the chassis by sanding away any paint to ensure a solid connection. This connection is made using the supplied bolt, nut and washer.
