Dometic CFX5 55IM - Compressor Cool Box - 55L Portable Fridge Freezer
The Dometic CFX5 55IM is a 55L compressor cool box designed for keeping food and drinks chilled or frozen whilst travelling. Its large capacity makes it well suited to campervans, motorhomes, family camping trips and longer journeys, whilst the integrated ice maker gives you a convenient supply of fresh ice when you're off-grid.
The CFX5 55IM can operate as either a fridge or freezer, with an adjustable temperature range from +20°C down to -22°C. It can be powered from a 12V or 24V DC electrical system, or connected to a 100-240V AC supply when mains power is available.

Integrated ice maker
The key difference between the CFX5 55IM and the standard CFX5 55 is its integrated ice maker. This allows you to make fresh ice directly inside the cool box, removing the need to carry bags of ice or use separate ice trays.
This makes the CFX5 55IM particularly useful for longer campervan trips, camping holidays and days away where access to shops or mains refrigeration may be limited.
Power consumption
The CFX5 55IM uses a variable-speed compressor that automatically adjusts its operation to suit the cooling demand. Actual daily energy consumption will vary depending on factors such as ambient temperature, the selected internal temperature, how frequently the lid is opened and use of the ice maker.

Efficient cooling and insulation
The CFX5 55IM uses Vacuum Insulated Panels to minimise thermal transfer through the walls of the cool box. Combined with its variable-speed compressor and extended evaporator around the internal walls, this helps maintain an even internal temperature whilst reducing unnecessary compressor operation.
Smartphone temperature control
The Dometic Mobile Cooling app allows you to control the CFX5 55IM from your smartphone, monitor its internal temperature and track energy consumption. The app can also alert you if the lid is left open, display operating history and connect to multiple compatible cool boxes.
Large 55L portable storage
The 55L interior can hold up to 80 x 330ml cans and 13 x 1.5L bottles, giving you plenty of storage for longer trips and family use. A removable wire divider helps keep food and drinks organised, whilst the built-in interior light improves visibility in darker storage areas.
The CFX5 55IM measures 720mm wide, 455mm deep and 480mm high including the handles.
