Cooling and heating
The TCX 07 can be used for both cooling and heating, making it useful for chilled drinks, snacks and packed lunches as well as keeping prepared food warm. As a thermoelectric cooler, its achievable cooling temperature depends on the surrounding air temperature rather than maintaining a fixed refrigerator temperature.
In cooling mode, the TCX 07 can reduce the internal temperature by up to 25°C below ambient conditions. In heating mode, it can warm and maintain its contents at temperatures up to 65°C.
Power consumption
The Dometic TCX 07 has a power input of approximately 38W when running from a 12V DC supply and 43W when connected to 230V AC. Its modest power requirement and compact size make it a practical option for smaller vehicle-based setups where a larger compressor fridge is not required.
If you're calculating the battery capacity required to run your fridge alongside the other loads in your campervan or motorhome, you can use our free electrical system design service for help specifying your system.
Compact portable storage
The 7L capacity is suited to smaller loads such as drinks, snacks and packed lunches. At approximately 2.8kg, the TCX 07 is easy to carry between your vehicle, campsite and home, making it a convenient option for day trips and shorter journeys.
