Solar Panel Brackets – for Mounting Rigid Solar Panels – Pack of 4

These solar panel brackets allow you to install your solar panels directly to the roof of a campervan, overlander, or boat. They provide a mechanical, screwed fixing to the vehicle’s roof, so ensuring that your rigid solar panels are securely attached. This pack of 4 L-shaped mounting brackets is supplied with fasteners which, together with some Sikaflex 512 Caravan Adhesive & Sealant, creates a reliable waterproof mounting on your roof. Similarly, you can use rubber wells nuts to attach the brackets to your roof, which don’t require any adhesive or sealant.

Each L-shaped bracket measures 100mm x 65 x 65mm and has pre-drilled holes on both sides. This pack of 4 brackets comes with 16 x 20mm Pozi Pan head screws for installation.

How many brackets do I need?

• Small solar panels: If you are installing a solar panel up to 150W, 4 mounting brackets will certainly be sufficient.
• Medium solar panels: If you are installing a solar panel between 150-250W, we recommend you use 6 mounting brackets.
• Large solar panels: If you are installing a large solar panel greater than 250W, we recommend you use 2 packs (8 mounting brackets).

Well nuts

Attaching solar panels with a mechanical connection ensures they are securely fixed in place, but it can also be susceptible to water ingress. To prevent this, we recommend using well nuts to form a watertight connection. It is important to test each hole for leaks to ensure a secure and long-lasting connection.

Please select whether you would like to include these with your order. For each set of 4 brackets, we will include 8 well nuts and bolts (2 per bracket) to connect to the roof of your vehicle if selected.

The well nut included is an M5 well nut, provided with a rubber washer and a BZP 25mm allan bolt.
