Solar Technology Solar Panel Mounting Brackets – Corner Mount & Side Mount, Drill Free
The Solar Technology solar panel mounting brackets allow you to install your solar panels directly to the roof of a campervan, and are a great drill-free alternative. They provide a chemical, glued fixing to the vehicle’s roof. The corner brackets can be used with virtually any aluminium framed solar panels, and are suitable for use with most campervans and boats.
Please note: you should clean and lightly sand the surface you are gluing the brackets to. Any flaky paint should be removed, as the adhesive will be stronger than the paint.
How many brackets do I need?
If you are installing a solar panel 150W or bigger, you will also need to use a set of side mount brackets. Depending on the size of your solar panel, you may need to use more than one set of side brackets:
- 200W up to 300W: 1 set of side brackets
- Larger than 300W: 2 sets of side brackets
How to install solar panel mounting brackets
The brackets are supplied with fixings to attach solar panels to the brackets. Once these have been attached, simply fix the brackets to the roof of your campervan or boat using a strong adhesive such as Sikaflex 512.
