Sterling Power 30A Battery-to-battery charger w/ 350W MPPT Solar Charge Controller
This is a combined battery to battery (B2B) charger and solar charge controller from Sterling Power. The B2B charger fast charges your leisure batteries as you drive, and is simple to install in a vehicle with a modern smart alternator. The MPPT solar charge controller manages the power input from your solar panels, and has a very high efficiency rating.
The unit as a whole is compact and easy to install. There are charging presets for 9 different battery chemistries, as well as customisable charging profiles to match your unique setup. A Night Time setting allows the unit to run at half power, keeping fan noise down whilst you sleep.

Battery to battery charger
The B2B charger in this unit intelligently and safely charges your leisure batteries from your vehicle’s starter battery whilst driving. Because modern vehicles use smart alternators, a basic VSR is not viable in any vehicle with a Euro 5/6 engine. The Sterling Power B2B is simple to install and only requires access to the vehicle’s starter battery. The 30A model charges the leisure battery at a rate of 30A/hr.
MPPT charge controller
The integrated 350W MPPT charge controller intelligently collects energy from the sun and converts it into power for your electrical system. The high efficiency rating of 95% results in very fast charging. The charge controller also maintains battery health, extending battery life.
By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) panels, MPPT technology wrings every drop of available power out of your panels. The advantage of this is most noticeable when the sky is partially clouded, and light intensity is constantly changing. MPPT charge controllers are much more efficient than PWM charge controllers and we therefore recommend them for all applications in campervans.
The charge controller works with open circuit voltages (VoC) of up to 31V.
