Victron Small BMS for Lithium Batteries

Victron Energy Small BMS / mini BMS with pre-alarm – BMS400100000

The Victron SmallBMS is required in systems with a Victron LiFePO4 battery that doesn’t have a built-in BMS. It is a simple and low-cost alternative to the VE.Bus BMS, and can be used in systems that don’t contain a MultiPlus or Quattro.

The SmallBMS can replace the VE.Bus BMS in several applications. It is however not suitable for use with VE.Bus MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers: it has no VE.Bus interface. The SmallBMS is intended for use with Victron Smart LiFePO4 batteries with M8 circular connectors. The Victron SmallBMS has two outputs, similar to the VE.Bus BMS.

The BMS will:

• Shut down or disconnect loads in case of an imminent cell under voltage.
• Shut down or disconnect battery chargers in case of imminent cell overvoltage or over temperature.

Does your system contain Victron Smart LiFePO4 batteries and a MultiPlus or a Quattro? You need the Victron VE.Bus BMS.
