Victron Energy VE.Direct to Bluetooth Smart Dongle – ASS030536011
The Victron Energy VE.Direct to Bluetooth smart dongle can be connected to any Victron Energy product with a VE.Direct port. This enables smart functionality in any product that doesn’t already have this built-in. This smart functionality will allow you to monitor the product using the VictronConnect app, as well as set any programmable alarms and cut-offs to warn you of high and low voltages. Without the smart dongle, it’s not possible to easily set these alarms and cut-offs, so it is a useful device to ensure your system is fully set up and optimised.
The dongle is able to read data from all products with a VE.Direct port, and is commonly used with the 250W-1200W Phoenix inverter range which doesn’t have built-in smart functionality.
With the VE.Direct to Bluetooth Smart dongle you can get live status info, see historical values as well as configure product settings.
VE.Direct smart dongle – use case
In a fully smart system, we pair the smart dongle with the Victron Phoenix inverter to allow the power usage and loads of the inverter to be monitored via the VictronConnect app, as well as set up the alarms and cut-offs.
VictronConnect app
Once the smart dongle has been connected to a Victron Energy product, the product can be monitored and programmed via the VictronConnect app. This can be downloaded from the app store on both Android and iOS devices.
