Dometic CFX5 55 - Compressor Cool Box - 55L Portable Fridge Freezer
The Dometic CFX5 55 is a 55L compressor cool box designed for keeping food and drinks chilled or frozen whilst travelling. Its larger capacity makes it well suited to campervans, motorhomes, family camping trips and longer journeys where you need plenty of portable refrigeration space.
The CFX5 55 can operate as either a fridge or freezer, with an adjustable temperature range from +20°C down to -22°C. It can be powered from a 12V or 24V DC electrical system, or connected to a 100-240V AC supply when mains power is available.

Power consumption
The Dometic CFX5 55 has a rated current draw of 9.6A at 12V or 4.2A at 24V. This represents the rated input current rather than continuous average consumption, as the compressor cycles and adjusts its speed during normal use. Actual daily energy consumption will vary depending on factors such as ambient temperature, the selected internal temperature and how frequently the lid is opened.

Efficient cooling and insulation
The CFX5 55 uses Vacuum Insulated Panels to reduce heat transfer through the walls of the cool box. Combined with the variable-speed compressor and extended evaporator around the internal walls, this helps maintain an even internal temperature whilst reducing unnecessary energy use.
Smartphone temperature control
The Dometic Mobile Cooling app allows you to control the CFX5 55 from your smartphone, monitor its internal temperature and track energy consumption. The app can also alert you if the lid is left open, display operating history and connect to multiple compatible cool boxes.
Large 55L portable storage
The 55L interior can hold up to 80 x 330ml cans and 13 x 1.5L bottles, making it a practical size for longer trips and family use. A removable wire divider helps keep food and drinks organised, whilst the built-in interior light improves visibility in darker storage areas.
The CFX5 55 measures 720mm wide, 455mm deep and 480mm high including the handles, and weighs 23.6kg.
