Kaan and Lou’s journey so far
Kaan and Lou (@letsbeontheway) have been living in their self-built campervan for about four months now, fully embracing and loving the full-time van life experience! Their journey has been filled with freedom, adventure, and the joy of waking up to a new view every day. Their tiny home on wheels is built on a Peugeot Boxer L3H2, named Pépé. They stumbled upon this beautiful van at an auction, thanks to their incredible car dealer friend who went above and beyond to help them find the perfect foundation for their dreams.
Tell us about your new van conversion
From the very beginning, we decided to take on the challenge of building Pépé ourselves. It was important to us to know every nook and cranny of our home, ensuring we could handle any issues that might come up along the way. Plus, the process of creating something with our own hands made it feel even more special. Now, we’re living our dream full-time, soaking up the thrill of freedom and the simple pleasure of sliding open the van door to reveal breathtaking new places. Life is short, and we truly believe in making the most of it—why not chase your dreams?
Inside Pépé, we’ve designed a space that’s a perfect reflection of our style and needs: a Scandinavian-inspired minimalist aesthetic that’s both functional and cosy. Despite the compact space, we’ve managed to fit in everything we need for comfortable living. Our tiny home features a shower, a compostable toilet, a fully equipped kitchen with a cooker, oven, fridge, and plenty of storage space for all the essentials. We carefully planned every detail to ensure life on the road is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
This little haven on wheels has become so much more than a vehicle—it’s our sanctuary, our base, and a constant reminder of the freedom and happiness that comes from living life on our terms. We love every moment in our cosy home and can’t wait to see where the road takes us next!

We are currently based in Scotland, exploring the Highlands, the best place we have visited so far. The Highlands have given us a newfound appreciation for solitude. We’ve fallen in love with the charm of this region. From its quaint villages steeped in history to the beautiful sunrises and sunsets we’ve experienced.
The future remains a blank canvas, ready for new adventures and discoveries.
